The Best Position to Get Pregnant and Other Tips to Help You Conceive

When couples are having a difficult time having a child, it's not uncommon for them to start wondering what they can do different, what the best position to get pregnant is, and what other factors can they change in order to help the process along.

The best position to get pregnant is actually any position that helps keep sperm in. Any position where the woman is on top should be avoided as this allows gravity to pull sperm out. Missionary is probably one of the best, however, you should try placing a pillow under the females hips, as it will create an angle that allows sperm to travel more freely towards the uterus.

Ovulation is also key when it comes to trying to conceive. There are many ovulation testing kits on the market that can help you to pin point which days are the best to try and get pregnant. For a lot of women this will be on Day 14 of her cycle, though it doesn't necessarily have to be. It's not uncommon for an egg to be ready to become fertilized on Day 11, or even Day 16. In some rarer cases a woman may even ovulate more than once during a cycle.

If you can figure out with some degree of accuracy when you expect to be ovulating, start having sex a few days before. While an egg will generally only last 24 hours, sperm can survive anywhere from 3 to 7 days. This way, you greatly increase your chances of sperm reaching the ready egg.

Finally, try and relax. It can become frustrating when trying to get pregnant and nothing seems to be working but the added stress can actually really hinder your progress. Love making is fun, and should be fun! Don't make it into a job, but keep these tips in mind and you'll be on your way to having a baby in no time.
